Hints about the MUN

Conduct
High standards of conduct are demanded of all participants throughout the duration of the conference. Respect is to be shown to all fellow delegates, Student Officers and teachers. Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited everywhere in the conference premises. Violation of any of the above rules may lead to temporary or permanent expulsion from the conference at the discretion of the Organisers.

Dress Code
The MUN is a formal conference and, therefore, formal attire is required, meaning suit and tie for gentlemen and a similar degree of formality for ladies. Informal clothing (T-shirts, jeans, sneakers etc) will NOT be allowed. THE DRESS CODE ALSO INCLUDES ALL STUDENT OFFICERS AND ORGANIZING TEAM.

Resolutions and Policy Statements
Delegates are required to come to the conference with a draft resolution on each item of the agenda of their forum. A sufficient number of copies of these drafts will greatly facilitate you during lobbying.
You should also be able to deliver a brief policy statement on each topic, whether it has been prepared prior to the conference or not.

What is MORE.M.U.N.

The MORE.M.U.N. (Model United Nations) is a 2-day simulation of the work of the United Nations. Students from our school participate representing a country in UN forums, like the General Assembly and its committees, and the Economic and Social Council. It is an opportunity for students to tackle world issues that often remain uncovered by mainstream media and to better understand the workings of international diplomacy while improving their rhetorical skills. The official and working language of the conference is English and the dress code is strictly formal as corresponding to diplomats.
